So what is occupying my brain this week. I’m sorry to say that it is pretty much exclusively my current health journey in the West Kootenay and how much I miss being in the Columbia Valley.

So as most of you now know, I am living with acute kidney failure that has me going into Trail hospital for dialysis. In the process of trying to figure out what caused my kidneys to crash they have come up with crappy news.

My issues are caused by a blood disorder associated with multiple myeloma, or bone marrow cancer. Today I went for a bonemarrow biopsy to help figure out the extent of my issues. Now it is a waiting game.

Every day I miss Invermere and you folks more and more. The Castlegar area is nice but nothing compared to the Columbia Valley. I am so lucky to have lived there for the last several years, enjoying the natural beauty and all the associated activities. I am blessed to have met more than a thousand awesome folks who all care about each other and their community.

So keep that going folks. Get out there every day and share some kindness and love. Give some love to everyone and feel it come back in so many ways.
