Last week I went on a bit of a rant about our government and the money they take from us. It seems that a lot of folks are feeling the same way. A lot of folks are living day to day and dollar to dollar, hoping nothing goes wrong as they just can’t afford a health issue or a vehicle repair. Many are building up a debt load. Taxes are crushing them.
Anyway, on a lighter note, it looks like we are in for a few days of great fall weather. It was awesome being out on the day of the fire ban being lifted. The ban came off at 1pm our time and by 1:15 pm I was coming across folks with a campfire and others gathering wood. Happy campers. I have to admit that I really prefer having a campfire while camping.
But yes, now is the perfect time to get out hiking, biking, camping, gathering firewood, fishing, hunting or whatever takes you into the backcountry. We have a lot of beautiful areas around the valley so take the time to explore.
I have been very lucky to get to tour some wonderful spots this summer. There are so many lakes and streams out there as well as magnificent vista views. Take advantage of it.
