Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 14. It is a great day to really acknowledge Mom. My mother is incredible. She has taught me what is right and what is wrong (I may not always follow her advice) and has always been there for me. She loves me. I am in my mid-fifties and she will still make sure I have a stocking at Christmas and a bit of chocolate at Easter. She always reminds me to wear a coat in cool weather and to drive safely. She loves me. I love how she prepares all my favourite meals when I am visiting. She knows what I love. And she is concerned about my health. She knows that I love sweet things but that I am trying to avoid diabetes so she watches for suitable foods for me. She loves me.
I will not get to see Mom or even speak with her this Mother’s Day as she is on a cruise to Alaska with my brother and sister. I feel bad about that. If you have a chance to do something for your Mom at anytime, get your butt in gear and do it. Our moms have done a lot for us.
