We have to take responsibility for our own lives. In every way possible.

Many of us think that it is important to be this perfect person. We want to be able to impress everyone and part of that (we think) is to never make a mistake.

What happens when a mistake is made? Fingers begin to point in every direction away from ourselves. “So and so did it” or “They didn’t give me all the info” or any other reason we can think of to not accept blame.

Own your stuff folks. We must be able to take responsibility for our own actions (or lack of). Do you want to gain respect? Then be honest and responsible regarding your mistakes. And don’t take credit for others’ successes.

At the same time, you are responsible for your own happiness. Don’t expect me (or anyone else) to make you happy. It just won’t work. Expectations and sense of entitlement are evil roots that can lead to a lot of disappointment and hard feelings. Find out what makes you happy and involve your life in those activities and situations.

Please don’t wait for me to make you happy.
